A Short Story ( First Time )
Well, I started a short story and have been doing a lot of fixings before I add the ending. I have a good friend reading it, as I revise it and helping me with it. Thank You very much dear friend! All I can say, is that, two girls were kidnapped and are now fighting their way to civilization. There is a major twist at the end and hope to have it done soon. This will be my first finished short story. I hope to have you hanging soon!! wait I will share a bit only ok?
It is dark and cold, the ground and foliage around is wet. Tree’s from far and wide, with Nature’s animals at hand. There are very light footsteps being heard and the animals are starting to stir. Heads are perking up from nests to see what they are hearing.
Footsteps are getting louder and closer. Twigs on the ground and branches on trees are starting to break. The sounds are becoming faster and louder. Then, two deer jump up and start running off in different directions.
“ Aw dam it !!!” said Pearl.
Any and all animals go running for their scared lives. Leaves rustling, branches breaking, and all peace broken.
“ Hurry will ya !”
“ C’mon Penny, hurry up! We have a good distance on him !”
Still running and looking dirty in grayish black dresses. Nothing on their feet. Different hair colors but both one length and knotted really bad.
“ Pearl please, wait, I’m tired and my feet are starting to bleed.”
“ Fine Penny, but we only have a couple of minutes ok?”
“ok”
“Here put this on your cuts, the cool water from the leaves will feel good. Then we have to start running again. Penny, if he catches us, he is going to kill us!”
“ Thanks Pearl, this does feel better.”
“ Ok, you ready, we have to go, you know that right?”
“ Yes, and I am ready.”

“ C’mon.”
Pearl and Penny stood back up and started running. Ducking under tree branches, and pushing branches aside just as tree branches are hitting them back. Their feet stomping on top of sticks and sharp stones. Their dresses being torn more by the bushes and tree’s. Pearl signals to stop. Penny stops right behind her.
“ Do you hear that Penny?”
“ What?”
“ Listen, really hard. Hear that swishing sound?”
“ Hmmm, no Pearl, I’m so scared that he is going to catch us right now, and my feet are killing me !”
“ It’s water Penny, it’s water! C’mon!”
Running towards the sound of the water and as they get closer, Pearl puts her hand up to signal they are close and to be quiet.
“ Now Penny, listen very carefully ok. We need to be very quiet and stay behind these tree’s as we go down to the water. He might be down there looking for us ok? I need you to watch behind us as I go down and I will do the same for you when I signal ok?”
“ Ok Pearl, and I will watch behind us as we go down the hill.”
As they proceeded to move down the hill from tree to tree. Pearl would go first as Penny would go next. The third time they did this, there was a loud crack in front of them. Both quickly got down on their knees very quietly next to the tree as there were a lot of leaves on the ground to blend in. Pearl and Penny were very still and didn’t move a muscle.
A couple more cracks were heard and there stood the man who has kept them both captive. The time of calendar has been lost to

them. They know nothing of the outside world at the present time. He has kept them tethered under the floor for so long, that they are hoping to see daylight again.
They were in one room with two mattresses on the floor. He would bring down water and soup to them twice a day. A large pot stood in one corner so the girls could go to the bathroom. If more than soup was made for them, it was something easy for them to use with their hands. No utensils were allowed. The walls were sound proof due to they could not hear anything outside of them.
The man stops and looks around. He walks a few more feet down towards the water and looks around. He starts to gather up rocks and puts them around in a circle. Gathers some dead wood and then starts a fire in hopes that maybe the girls will see it. For him right now, it is to keep the chill and dampness off. He sits down next to the fire and makes himself comfortable while he waits.
Pearl and Penny see’s the fire and then Pearl puts her hand on Penny, and shakes her head no. Knowing very well that Penny was wanting the very same thing, warmth and dryness. As Pearl was sitting there thinking and not taking a chance of moving, because he is so close, Pearl tells Penny by pointing to the ground: to sit, pull some leaves up and over her legs very slowly, then lie down and cover the rest of herself in leaves. To Penny’s surprise, she was warm and dry.
It was mid morning when Pearl and Penny finally awoke, and to find the man gone. He must of gotten up with the sun and started to look again. Penny and Pearl were so happy to see the sun again as they both went down to the water together and drank. For the very first time and in a long time, they felt safe. Pearl took her dress off and told Penny that it is ok and that she needed to do the same. They both got in the water and used their dresses as rags to wash themselves and then to scrub their dresses. Pearl and Penny used pine tree branches to brush their hairs in the water.
“ Penny, when did that man take you?”
“ I don’t know really, but I do remember playing in the front yard on my .

Like being a little Kid again
You are so excited, giddy, and so very restless, OH and very impatient on waiting for the time to come. The time is getting closer and closer and you are just about to burst because you just cannot wait any longer !!! You look up at the clock almost every 30 seconds and wishing the time would just go faster and faster. The fingers that belong to you are so confused due to going every which way and out of control. The legs are starting to bounce up and down due to nervousness and the time is really really close. You look up one more time and notice that you have less than 1 minute left to go. The chair now seems to be a rocking chair and there it was: 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. WAITTTTT. " You have a Great Summer and Stay Safe !!!!! " said the teacher.

A Flower ( Poem )
Poem
A Flower
We have come to realize that when the longing darkness comes upon us, magic happens. For seeing something so small and growing out of the soil seems magical. The green makes you think that it is full of life and is willing to keep on stretching itself to become something so much better. The soil is filled with much mystery that is helping this life to grow.
Darkness falls upon this tiny growth as it relaxes for the bright yellow and earth warming sun to come again. As the light is approaching the growth, you can tell that something has happened. The very small life had stretched out looking like a small dark green stem. Not only did it look like it had stretched out, but there are two really dark brown points sticking out. They look to be uneven from each other. All this while it was relaxing in the mysterious night.
After soaking in the bright yellow sun for most of the day, the air is starting to get cooler with a slight breeze. Clouds are starting to cover the sky as to making the night time come earlier. With a slight breeze still, you can feel little raindrops now and then.
As it becomes total black out once again, it is starting to rain a little harder and the slight breeze is still blowing. The dark brown soil is getting hit by falling raindrops by which is also getting scattered by every hit. A raindrop hit the top of the dark green stem and made it bend over to touch the ground, and with much surprise, it stood back up. This whole process repeated itself through out the total black out.
The color was much different this morning. Instead of the heart warming brightness, there was a very large and round, pink colored sun coming up. There were even white clouds on the ground. It was chillier than when the bright yellow sun rose.
With such astonishment, the now emerald green looking stem had changed again. The stem was not small but very tall. Not only was it tall, but had a bumpy shaped marble right on top of itself. The dark brown points are now light brown and very sharp thorns.
Halfway through the cool pink morning, you can see the white clouds go back up into the blue sky. It is amazing watching the sun turn back to yellow again. The dark brown wet soil turning to light brown because of the sun’s heat. The whole plant is now taking in the heat and something is happening to the bumpy marble. It has started to crack and you can see the color of purple in them.
Once again, you can see the sun falling from the sky, and the cool calming night coming. This is the mystical time that we cannot see what the plant is doing. It gives you the longing sense for daylight again. Well, it is becoming that time. Time for the great magic to be shown and welcomed.
Could it really be? The heart felt warmth and brightness was making its approach. The light now shining down on the much more impressive plant. The cuts into the marble were bigger now. You really see the purple but they look like satin bed sheets. As more time elapses and the big yellow sun rises, giving off more heat, some kind of big bright yellow sun magic happens. The purple bumpy marble EXPLODES !!!!!! There is no more bumpy marble !!!!!!
And there it was, the biggest, magical moment of all. This taller than tall, dark green stem was with very large sharp pointed thorns and stood extremely strong. On the top was this large purple, satin sheet, tea cup looking rose.

Mother's Day is a very Special Day indeed. It is not about the gifts, or the cards. It is the Love that is shared. I have seen so much love today in one house that could last a life time plus. Four generations in one house celebrating Mother's Day. It was great! Everyone brought a dish of their own to pass, and even exchanged a recipe or two. Absolutely everyone got along. First time meeting the other side of my daughter's boyfriends family. They too are really great people. I can't wait until the next time the whole family can get together and converse the way we all did today. For you moms out there, the multitasking that we do will never go without saying " I Love You mom " on a day like today !!!!!!!!

Shopping on May 12.
Well it is sat. May 12. Went shopping with my friend Kerry and her three littler kids. Purchased all the items that we needed for the house and the cat lol. He was getting really mouthy when I wasn't putting food in his bowl lol. Received a phone call from where my youngest is staying at and proceeded to tell me the she had a really bad sneezing fit up behind the race track last night when the Go-Karts were racing. She even said that she sounded like a raging train all night long, so I did give her permission to give her a Claritin. Haven't checked in yet but will here soon. This is very very odd for her but the tree flowers are starting to drop and bud now. After shopping with my friend Kerry at Walmart, we went and had lunch with the kids, and went to Payless for white sneakers for the three younger ones, for they are in the Mexico Twirlette's. I am very sorry to say but Payless has absolutely bare minimum for any type of shoe and sneaker. I tried looking for a really nice pair of sandals for my oldest for Mother's Day. When she does have the baby, I would like to be called na na (nah nah) or memaw. I really like those two names. I hope that my oldest likes them too. Ok I will see you all tomorrow!!!

Well, I came up with a 2nd book last night. The 18 yr old that I have told you about is now pregnant. I also learned that her boyfriend is Bi-Polar and has schizophrenia. The new mom to be has been taken off her meds already and you can see the difference. There are so many worries to worry about. The mother of the 18 yr. old is still at awww with the news. She is happy but the concerns for the health of her daughter and the baby exceeds the happiness that she has for right now. I believe that this is going to take some time for the mother of the 18 yr. old until she can get the answers that she needs from the doctors saying that her two kids are going to be ok.
